Sunset | In it

PREVIOUS | CURRENT | NEXT

Wow. That was probably the best holiday I've ever had, and it was only two days (I was only shooting one day so the text in the picture is right). I went to a place called Uttan, it's around 3 hours outside Mumbai. We lived at U Tan Resort.
Let me share a little of it. In the photo, it's me, all alone, on top of a hill, with my camera. Before sunset I was sitting up there all alone with a laptop and wireless internet. Most of the time I was listening to an audiobook, The God Delusion by Richard Dawkins, which really gets one into such an amazing state of mind when listening to it in a place like this.
What I just said was nothing. The hell of an experience I'm referring to is the 4 hours of walking through villages. The things you see, the people you meet, and the photos you shoot, its just an indescribable experience. And you're going to see a new style of photography from me in the coming weeks along with my usual street style. I got some seriously mind blowing shots there. Might I mention the R1 was a privilege to shoot with, it really performed extremely well.

You can probably make out from the photo, amazing.

Azhar,

That's one of the more unique angles I've ever seen in a sunset landscape/self-portrait. Very nice experimentation and implementation.
