PREVIOUS | CURRENT | NEXTI went out shooting! Quite easy : forget everything you have to do, take camera, walk out door.
Let me explain this shot... first the technical part of it.
It's shot at ISO 1600 so that noise is natural and it was mostly color noise so I had to desaturate and tone. It was late evening and the sun had already set around 15 minutes back, on top of that this fellow happened to be under the shade of a building : so lighting was low. I did get a shot of the baby alone, but it was at ISO 3200 and is pretty unusable although it's a fantastic shot.
I didn't use the flash because I would draw a lot of attention to myself, and as you can see in the picture, those two kids (probably siblings) were already running for me. I kept their legs in the shot because it looks like they are just going to kick over the baby.
Oh well, what's done is done and here's the shot I have for today.
post processing : Cross Processed + Heavy Noise Reduction + Sharpening + Straightening
camera : Sony DSC-R1

This is one of your best shots ever, Azhar. This poor little bare infant lost in the hustle of the world around him, those trying to take care of themselves with nothing left to give to him. This is a heart-wrenching scene. My heart aches for him.
Awww...this seems so sad to me, very heartwrenching and profound shot.
WHY OH WHY did u use the vignette?....otherwise it wudve been the purrrfect shot....8.5/10...nuff siad, this one is mindblowing...
damn .. this is one of those shots that paralyzes your thought process completely
don't know what else to say
I like the vignetting, actually. This really is a fantastic shot; congratulations.
I would be really interested in seeing this image reprocessed if you embraced the grain that comes from high ISO instead of trying to eliminate it. Often, when I'm shooting at very high ISO, I give up trying to suppress the grain in the final image and instead embrace a sort of high-speed B&W film look; it's often very effective. I've sometimes even added more grain to already-noisy shots to add to the look.
Regardless, though, you should be very proud of this image.

What a return to form, friend. This is excellent and very emotive. The noise works for me big time. It looks fairly film-like; add that with the vignetting and you've got a very solid image. Nicely done.
Wow. this shot will make u famous one day.
WOW....! i think is your best shot yet...!
very thought provoking,
the vignetting works well...
the legs of the siblings add a lot...!
stunning shot...

This is mind blowing Azhar. It made me stop in my tracks. A very frightening scene, one which I dont want to think about sometimes. Superbly documented. Your best shot to date.
Great capture, Azhar. Especially with monochrome street photography like this, don't fight the noise. It has the ability to add another layer to the "story". Good, shallow DOF and I like how you kept the other kids' legs in the shot.
you get my 1st "I LIKEY" I have given in over 3 months, I am very very very IMPRESSED with this caprure, one of your most powerful captures ever, now see whT YOU CAN Bng out when you put your mind to it.
