Creatures | Itsy Bitsy Spider

PREVIOUS | CURRENT | NEXT

The next big wildlife photographer eh? Nah, just a spider I found in my bathroom (Suby would remember when we were chatting I suddenly left the computer to shoot this). Excuse the absurd lighting I have created here, but I think it suits the little bugger. I have a test tomorrow and the day after, so I'll be pre-occupied with that for the rest of the day. The R1 has limited macro capabilities (and I can't find the macro enhancement lens so this is a huge crop (more than 100%) : but as you can see it compensates by giving me low noise at high ISOs.

post processing : Cross Processed (Yellow) + Lighting Effects + Vignetting + Crop + Curves + Glow

Spiders and webs seems to be a popular theme today.

Nice one here...the spider appears to be floating.

Wow, that is a great low noise crop!!

I can imagine Suby squirming in his chair looking at this one.

looks great for the huge crop, but there is some banding in the lighting. The spider is in a really neat position, great capture.

The background is interesting, however the missing web doesn't work for me. The framing is lovely though!

good lord, that's some massive editing....luckily, it paid off...love that cross processing here because it doesnt mess up the light and enhances the central object....8.5/10

I seriously hate spiders, not sure why. But I wouldn't want to have found this in my bedroom. But I love the shot! Nice macro!

Love the perspective on this shot Azhar. The lighting really does work here. Great crop too--it really makes the whole shot jump out at you. Good stuff man!
